SOCIOLOGICAL RESEARCH CONCEPTS OF THE FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE POOR POPULATION POSITION IN THE SOCIETY SOCIAL STRUCTURE

Abstract

The purpose of the work is to analyze the influence of social realities on the sociological concepts of studying the position of the poor in the social structure of society. The subject of the research is the poor strata of the population and their position in the social structure of society. From the standpoint of sociological knowledge, it was revealed how sociologists changed their views on the position of the poor in the social structure of society under the influence of social realities and how this was reflected in the sociological concepts of studying the social structure of the population. Thus, in the industrial period of the development of society, the class stratification theory prevailed, based on the economic determination of the position of the individual in the social structure. With the complication of social development, class theory is supplemented besides the economic criteria of power and prestige (M. Weber), and then completely pushed into the background by multidimensional stratification concepts. The main sociological concepts of studying the situation of the poor population in the social structure of societies are summarized and the main criteria for studying the situation of the population are identified. It is established that it is possible to determine it on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the situation in various spheres of public life by means of many interrelated criteria.
