The article considers the «image of the other» for rural residents of modern Russia, as part of their value-semantic world. Types of «other» for rural residents (external and internal) are identified depending on the degree of «involvement» in the life of the local community. At the same time, the «external other» can be identified by ethnicity, which is a particularly significant factor in local socio-cultural dynamics, especially in the situation of increasing migration processes. «The image of the other» is formed depending on the place of residence of a person. For a rural resident a citizen is such a «different». The degree of distance with the citizens as «other» depends on the distance of the village from the city center and the capital. The «Internal other» is considered from the age of the position, as well as according to the way of transfer of knowledge and information.Downloads
