TRANSFOMATION OF MODERN RUSSIAN POLITICAL ELITE: FORMULATION OF THE PROBLEM

Abstract

This article discusses the background and modern methodological approaches to the study of the transformation of modern political elite. The institutional framework and the specific characteristics of the modern Russian political elite are revealed. Based on the analysis of scientific papers, devoted to various aspects of the functioning of the Russian political elite, the authors conclude on the necessity to study the problems of its transformation as a separate direction of political studies.
