THE POLITICAL COMPETENCE OF THE RUSSIANS AS A FACTOR OF POLITICAL PARTICIPATION

Abstract

The methodology and the methods of the analysis of the political competence as an integral part of the structure of political possibilities were viewed in the article. The variables which were singled out, such as an interest in politics, information awareness of the political process, trust (personal/ social), a level and a form of the political activity, motives of the actions, an efficiency of the political participation, enabled the authors to characterize the model of the involvement of the citizens in functioning of the political system. Based on the results of socio-political research (expert survey) the authors determined the level of the formation of the political competence depending on the type of the region. The evaluation of quality of life according to RF GOSSTAT was used as a criterion for the classification of the subjects of the Central Federal District.
