MODERN FEATURES OF FORMATION OF NEW AGENTS OF YOUTH POLITICAL SOCIALIZATION

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to reveal the conditions and features of the formation of new agents of youth political socialization in modern Russia. The political socialization of youth is one of the urgent tasks of any ruling elite. In modern Russia, the existing risks of youth absenteeism and increased protest activity are a reflection of the insufficiently effective activities of the main agents of political socialization. Research methodology: in analyzing the process of youth socialization and identifying its main agents, the authors relied on sociological, historical and axiological approaches, using methods of analysis, synthesis, included observation and survey. As a result of the study, the influence of the digitalization process on the transformation of the socialization agents of modern youth was identified and characterized. Changes in the youth environment are taking place under the influence of Western culture and the value system, which leads to a decrease in paternalistic-collectivist value orientations and the dominance of an initiative-individualistic approach in the system of political orientations of Russian youth, especially its younger age groups. In a separate risk group of this kind of changes is the youth of Russia, China, as well as the states of the post-Soviet space.
