Abstract

The purpose of the article is to consider the problem of identifying modern Russian school-age youth in the context of the correlation in their minds of civic and regional identities, their correlation with political values that are priority for schoolchildren. The empirical base of the study was the materials of a mass survey of students in 6-11 forms conducted in the Altai Territory, Kemerovo and Novosibirsk Regions, and the Altai Republic. Based on cross-regional analysis, the prevalence among schoolchildren of a tendency to combine civic and regional identities was revealed, according to which most of them feel equally like residents of Russia and their region. Among schoolchildren of all regions, the values of freedom, justice, human rights and order are most prevalent. As a result of the study, the authors come to the conclusion that there is a similar value picture of the world between the schoolchildren of the considered regions, which is dictated by the unity of the educational and informational environment. Particular attention is paid to the system of values of students with a predominant national-state identity. Their combination must be taken into account by various actors of political socialization in the formation of the desired model of youth identification in the framework of state youth policy.
