MODERN CONDITIONS OF RUSSIAN MODERNIZATION: SOCIO-POLITICAL PROBLEMS AND RADICAL CHALLENGES

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to consider the formation of conditions for the successful implementation of the modernization of the political system of the country with the existing socio-political risks and challenges of further growth of radicalism and nationalism. The subject of the study is the factors and risks of the development of the Russian state and society in conditions of socio-economic instability and foreign policy sanctions. As a result of the analysis, a conclusion was drawn about the possibility of a dangerous trend in strengthening the negative impact of radical and nationalist ideas and movements on the socio-political processes in the country, along with a crisis in the values of liberalism, democracy and the system of legal institutions. Some directions and ways to prevent the considered threats and challenges of successfully modernizing the country's socio-political system are offered. The important directions are indicated: the development of civil society institutions, which in the conditions of weakening state institutions as a result of socio-economic and foreign policy instability today should take on a significant amount of political functions and responsibilities; development of the legal system in the center and regions; raising the standard of living of citizens; improving the state management system based on the principles of democracy and social justice. In this regard, the study of the topic in question has a positive impact on the development of political thought and expands the knowledge base in the sphere of the political management system.
