Abstract

The purpose of the article is to determine the category that can most accurately identify the phenomenon of forecasting methodology and planning the development of national economy, as well as the development of a definition that reflects the essence of the studied phenomenon and distinguishes it from a number of related ones. The necessity of determining the definition of the category “methodology of forecasting and planning the national economy” is substantiated. As a result of the analysis of scientific literature, it was found that in a number of works an incomplete analysis of the definition of this category is given, as a result of which this concept is either not disclosed at all, or its definition does not accurately determine its content. The research methodology is based on the application of formal logic, SEO - analysis and the triadic method. As a result, the article formed a full definition of the category “methodology of forecasting and planning the national economy”. During the creation, the following concepts were used: the image of future management, scientific methods of foresight and construction, and the orderly organization of activity. To obtain the final result, each of the three indicated categories was also decrypted, which made it possible to fully reveal the essence of the studied concept.
