MEASURES TO ENSURE FOOD SECURITY IN RUSSIA

Abstract

The article considers the current state of food security in Russia, which has a significant impact on the development of the agro-industrial complex and ensures the availability of basic foodstuffs to the population. The presented materials show the special role of food supply of state needs. The global agro-industrial sector is a special sphere of production whose activity is focused on meeting the most important physiological needs of a person. Therefore, issues related to ensuring food security are of paramount importance for establishing the economic basis for the functioning of the Russian state and preserving and enhancing the health of the world population. Prospective directions are proposed, and the necessary measures are developed to ensure the food security of Russia, contributing to an increase in the well-being of the population and the achievement of the ideal state of the economy as a whole. Among them, support for consumer demand, increasing production efficiency, reducing economic barriers to accessing safe food, increasing food security for fruits and vegetables, maintaining rural business and so on.
