The relevance of the topic is connected with the fact that protest social movements have become a characteristic feature of the political landscape of many countries. The purpose is to trace how, there was an interaction of protest movements and radical left organizations (that is, parties, movements and organizations more left than the socialists) in the 2010s in France. The subject is the programmatic requirements of the “yellow vests” movement and the relationship of this movement with left-wing radical organizations, in particular the French Communist Party and “Unconquered France”. The research methodology is based on the analysis of public opinion polls conducted by various sociological services of France, and on a comparative analysis of the program requirements of the "yellow vests". Results: the “yellow vests” movement is politically ambivalent: approximately 20-25% of its participants sympathize with the left radicals, and the same number with the right radicals. The requirements of “yellow vests” are equally ambivalent: about half of the requirements can be called “leftists”, 10-20% “rightists” (although these requirements for migration are extremely important), and 20-30% do not have such a clear ideological coloring.Downloads
