Radical currents in modern Islam: dogmatics, ideology and distinctive features

Abstract

Frequent cases of manifestation of religious fanaticism and attempts to substantiate terrorist acts by religious arguments require an analysis of the nature of Islamic radicalism. In this regard, it is important to study the essence and principles of radical trends prevailing in Islam. Purpose a study of the origin and development of radical trends in Islam in the context of the formation of religious extremism as a political movement that represents a serious danger. The research methodology is analysis, synthesis, analogy, description, abstraction, generalization, idealization, induction, deduction, historical method and systems approach. As a result of the study , it was found that Islamic radical groups, hiding behind religious motives, are trying to achieve their purely political goals.It is obvious that today, in attempts to transform the world in their utopian programs, they can cause enormous damage to all mankind. That is why at present there is an urgent need to coordinate the activities of science and state structures to form adequate models and mechanisms for responding to emerging challenges from religious extremism.
