ON THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC FORUM "PUBLIC RELATIONS IN THE ERA OF DIGITALIZATION: PROBLEMS, CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS

Abstract

The article presents an overview of the presentations of the international scientific forum “Public Relations in the Era of Digitalization: Problems, Challenges and Solutions”, held at the Central Russian Institute of Management in December 2018. The author marks the relevance of digitalization and the peculiarities of its influence on the activities of governments and state institutions, on education, health care and transport systems. The results of the pilot online survey, which showed a high level of citizens' readiness for a digital society, against the background of incomplete understanding of the global nature and scope of changes generated by digitalization, are presented. The main spheres of the influence of digitalization on social development and structure are highlighted. The transformation of power relations, changes in economic processes and the situation on the labor market, the transformation of the sphere of interpersonal relations, the problem of managing public and private information is characterized. The purpose of the forum was the expansion and addition of ideas about the problems and challenges of digitalization, the transformation of social relations in modern society.
