ETHNIC CONFLICT IN THE CONDITIONS OF MODERN TRANSFORMATION OF THE RUSSIAN SOCIETY

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to clarify the background and the essence of interethnic conflicts. In modern conditions, the prerequisites for new interethnic conflicts are forming in Russia, significant changes are taking place in the system of life activity of ethnic groups, a number of ethnic values and priorities are destroyed. The latter determines the relevance of the study of the content of ethnic conflict. The article uses the method of system analysis as a method of sequential actions aimed at identifying the logical, theoretical, structural relationships of various scientific concepts on the problems of ethnos and ethnic conflict. The author differentiates concepts exploring ethnos and ethnic conflicts. The shortcomings of these theoretical doctrines are shown, the modern theoretical foundations of the study of ethnic conflicts are clarified. An extended approach to the essence of ethnic conflict is presented as a process of aggravating contradictions of interests, differences in goals, norms, attitudes, principles of behavior arising in the framework of social practices and managing individual ethnic social groups. The field of application: sphere of interethnic relations and national policy.
