VISUALIZATION AS AN ELEMENT OF POLITICAL MANAGEMENT OF URBAN CONFLICT

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to identify the possibilities of visualization as one of the political management of urban conflict elements. The article discusses the theoretical aspects of political processes visualization study, as well as features of applying this tool for the regulation of conflicts in urban community. The directions of the use of visualization methods are defined the analysis of conflict situations, the formation of a symbolic space of conflict, the formation of public opinion. The latter seems to be the most important in an urban conflict, since it allows actors that do not have significant resource potential to activate wider sections of the urban community and increase their rank in the conflict. On the examples of urban conflicts in the city of Krasnodar, the effects of conflict visualization technologies are analyzed. The results of the study can be used to improve the efficiency of political management of urban conflicts, improve the methods of their regulation.
