CULTURE OF THE RURAL FAMILY IN THE CONDITIONS OF TRANSFORMATION OF THE RUSSIAN SOCIETY

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to determine the content and basic characteristics of the concept of "family culture", as well as leading scientific approaches to its analysis. The main research methods were comparative analysis, sociological and historical approaches. The author comes to the conclusion that family culture is a semantic unity, historically formed value-semantic integrity, which is manifested in the daily practice of family members, is transferred from generation to generation within the ordinary level of culture and is subject to changes under the influence of external and internal factors. The leading scientific approaches to the study of family culture are the following: historical studies, work on demography and territorial settlement of peoples, economic geography, works on economics, pedagogy (including ethnic pedagogy), cultural analysis, work on the sociology of culture, as well as psychological, political science, anthropological, ethnological, legal and other perspectives of the analysis of the phenomenon of the family. The findings can be the basis for the further development of the essence and characteristics of family culture in order to work out practical steps to strengthen the family institution in modern Russia.
