Abstract

The article discusses the organization of interreligious dialogue in the Russian Federation on the example of the analysis of the activities of the Interreligious Council of Russia. Russia is a multinational and multi-religious state. Russia is inhabited by more than 100 nations. The development of tolerance is important for the Russian Federation. Naturally, the discussion of pressing issues for the representatives of these faiths is extremely necessary. This function was assigned to the Interfaith Council. Discussion of issues of concern to society on the basis of the Interreligious Council provides an opportunity to develop new approaches to the consideration of the interaction of representatives of different faiths. The current situation demonstrates the fact that past mistakes are taken into account, and the introduction to the work of the Interreligious Council allows us to consider questions of religious interaction. It is also worth noting the importance of the Interreligious Council for the development of dialogue between denominations at the state level. This is also an important point, which allows discussing issues of interreligious interaction at the international level.
