COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF SOCIAL RISKS POSING SECURITY THREAT TO THE POPULATION OF RUSSIA AND THE WORLD COMMUNITY

Abstract

This article examines some of the problems associated with ensuring the safety of society. The main concepts of the theory of risk are indicated. The author analyzes the measures taken to prevent risk, as well as statistics on their implementation. The problems of death and injury to citizens from risks associated with road accidents and fires are touched upon. Data analysis is based on: the results of the fire statistics center of the International Association of Fire and Rescue Services (CTIF), and European facts and the report on the state of road safety in the world.These results characterize the average indicators of the number and consequences of risk in the countries of the world. The comparative analysis showed that the consequences of the risk in the Russian Federation do not correspond to the world average in view of the significant number of dead and injured, citizens as a result of the impact of the risk associated with human life activity. The urgency of continuing research in the prevention and mitigation of the consequences of risk is justified.
