NATIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS: PROBLEM OF RECONCILIATION OF THE IDEAS

Abstract

The article is devoted to topical issues of building international relations in the context of a globalizing world community. The purpose of the article is to analyze the phenomenon of "National Self-Consciousness" in the context of the effective construction and regulation of international relations. The research was done with analytical, descriptive and dialectical methods. The results of the work are in the fact that the authors of the article interpret the national consciousness as a heterogeneity of mental factors determined by historical, socio-economic, spiritual, moral, ethnic and cultural characteristics of the development of different peoples and nations. This position of authors allows us to consider national self-consciousness not only as an element of self-affirmation of peoples and nations, but also as a basis for building international relations in a globalizing world community, creating global world economy, global culture and global world government. At the same time, the authors remark that national self-consciousness is a deterrent to attempts to build international relations on the asymmetric basis, on the desire to infringe the interests of certain states at the expense of others. Therefore, the problem of reconciling the main ideas of the national self-consciousness of different peoples and nations in order to harmonize mutual coexistence, development and interaction is also relevant for the Russian state, which strives to play an important role in the world community. The results of the research can be applied for the further development of problems related to the comprehension of the features of nation-building, with the definition of the influence of national self-consciousness on the development of socio-political strategies of the ethnic elite, different groups and strata of modern society.
