CLUSTER APPROACH TO DEVELOPMENT OF TERRITORIES: NEW POSSIBILITIES OF INDUSTRY

Abstract

The article deals with topical issues of formation and development of regional clusters, including industrial orientation. Cluster initiatives as an effective mechanism for the formation and development of cooperation projects have been actively disseminated in the subjects of the Russian Federation. In this regard, the problem of identifying promising regional branch leaders for their support through cluster policy is actualized. The authors analyzed the cluster policy under the current management conditions; the principal attention was paid to the level of development of industrial clusters, including the successful experience of the Lipetsk region. Effective instruments for supporting clusters in the regional economy and directions for their further development have been determined. It is concluded that clusters are a key instrument for enhancing cooperation cooperation between regions. They should be supported, and these measures should be systemic in order to stimulate the growth of entrepreneurial activity, motivate the business to invest in the domestic economy.
