Abstract

This paper analyzes the results of an empirical study of the problems of people with disabilities and identifies the main areas of state support that people of this category need, as well as the reasons that make it difficult for them to adapt. The author substantiates the need to develop and implement a universal conceptual model of the system of social adaptation of people with disabilities at the municipal level, as well as the main directions of the state's activity to improve the process of social adaptation of physically disabled people.
