The article draws attention to the importance of improving management mechanisms to promote the implementation of forms of consultative democracy in the system of local government. The role and status of public hearings, legislative initiatives, surveys in the local community, the impact of these institutions on decision-making by local governments are examined. The problems in functioning of the institutions of direct democracy at the local level organizational and legal are revealed. The necessity of coordinating the interaction between local power structures and the public is marked, improving the legal regulation of functioning of consultative institutions, improving the efficiency of feedback in the management mechanism.Downloads
