Abstract

The article presents a comparative analysis of the ease of doing small and medium businesses in the countries of European Union and Russia based on the data of the World Bank “Doing Business” for the period of 2009-2015 annual report. The priorities of the state policy of support of small business in Russia and in the European Union are summarized.The causes of changes in the positions of countries in the overall ranking of the World Bank, the barriers to the development of Russian small business are revealed
