Keywords:
globalization, global communication, international communication, world communication, international relations, postindustrial epochAbstract
This article has attempted to advance the term international communication by challenging the assumption of its only political framework. Through socio-philosophical analysis, factors shaping the essence of international communication have been identified: various frameworks (institutional, crisis, inter-religious, inter-ethnic, marketing, scientific, political, professional, finance etc.), hierarchical levels (local, regional, global) and interactional communication patterns (face-to-face, group and mass). It is stated that international communication is influencing public opinion not only within political context but in a wide range of contexts: economic, societal and cultural. The dual nature of international communication is introduced through its developing and destructive impacts.Downloads
