DEMOGRAPHIC SITUATION IN THE REGION: FEATURES OF REPRODUCTIVE BEHAVIOUR OF THE POPULATION

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to characterize the demographic situation in the region (Orel region). As part of the study, an analysis of the demographic situation in the region was carried out to identify features and trends in the development of reproductive behavior of the population. Reproductive behavior is considered as a complex of interrelated characteristics of an objective, objective-subjective and subjective nature. Under objective characteristics, the author considers objective data on the population, including the number of women of childbearing age and the dynamics of its change. Objective-subjective characteristics reflect the situation with such demographic processes as marriage and divorce. Subjective characteristics are a need for children and a set of factors that directly and indirectly influence the formation of a desire to have children. The conclusions and provisions are based on statistical data, data from sample studies of reproductive behavior plans conducted by Rosstat, and the results of sociological studies on problems of the family and family values in modern Russian society. The conclusions obtained are of great importance for the governing bodies implementing the main activities in the implementation of the national project "Demography" in the region.
